Thoma Bravo LLC-Backed Hyland Software Does Add-On
March 02, 2010
Thoma Bravo LLC-backed Hyland Software has bought eWebHealth, which provides software for hospital billing and coding.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. EWebHealth spun out of ChartOne Inc. in 2008 with backing from Warburg Pincus LLC.
Executives at eWebHealth, Thoma Bravo and Hyland were not immediately available for comment.
EWebHealth relies on a software-as-a service model, covering such services as medical coding and compliance. It has about 100 customers that include small and mid-size hospitals.
Enterprise software company Hyland has been boosting its health care focus. In September, it bought Valco Data Systems, which provides information management services to hospitals.
Thoma Bravo predecessor Thoma Cressey Bravo bought a majority stake in Hyland in a 2007 deal that included about $150 million of equity.
