Thoma Bravo-Backed Deltek Acquires Axium

Deltek Inc ., backed by Thoma Bravo, said it acquired fellow software company Axium.

Portland, Ore.-based Axium, also known as XTS Software Corp., provides project management and accounting software to architecture and engineering firms in North America.

Deltek, of Herndon, Va., supplies enterprise software and information services to help federal contractors and professional services firms manage customer information, revenue, financial compliance and expenses.

Thoma Bravo took Deltek private in a $1.1 billion deal in 2012. The company previously was backed by New Mountain Capital , which retained a stake after taking the company public in 2007.

Deltek last year acquired Acumen Inc., a provider of project-management services.

Thoma Bravo, which has offices in Chicago and San Francisco, recently held a first and final close on Thoma Bravo Fund XI LP at $3.65 billion, surpassing the vehicle’s initial $2.5 billion target.
