Erwin Mock joins Thoma Bravo as Director of Capital Markets
New Position Will Add to Financing Capabilities
San Francisco – March 30, 2015 – Thoma Bravo, LLC, a leading private equity investment firm, has hired Erwin Mock to serve as its Director of Capital Markets. This is a new position intended to strengthen the firm’s ability to develop and deploy strategies for the financing of Thoma Bravo acquisitions and existing portfolio company add-ons. Mock will be based out of Thoma Bravo’s San Francisco office, bringing 15 years of experience in leveraged finance to work for the firm and its investors.
“Financing is an integral part of our investment process and one of the components of our investment returns,” said Orlando Bravo, a managing partner at Thoma Bravo, “but debt structures continue to become more complex and the debt markets go through challenging periods of volatility. Erwin’s expertise in leveraged finance will help our investment staff and our portfolio company management teams obtain the best possible financing for new fund investments and add-on acquisitions for existing investments.”
“I have worked with Thoma Bravo on a variety of financings in the past and have been consistently impressed by the firm’s efforts to find the most cost-effective and efficient ways to finance their investments,” said Mock. “I look forward to bringing my experience with debt structures and the lending markets to bear on a wide variety of Thoma Bravo financing projects.”
Mock most recently served as a managing director at UBS Investment Bank. Prior to that role, he served as Director at RBC Capital Markets, in addition to other leveraged finance and restructuring advisory roles with UBS, Credit Suisse and DLJ over the past 15 years. Mock graduated from Stanford University with a degree in economics in 2000.
